Director of Youth Ministry

The Director of Youth Ministry for two Dominican parishes in Columbia, Missouri will utilize the curriculum and core team model from the Life Teen program to create and direct an environment that leads high school youth into a relationship with God through prayer, study, service, and community life. Responsibilities include working with a university student parish intern and core team members to provide faith formation through the celebration of the Eucharist, classroom instruction, service learning, retreats, and social activities. 

St. Thomas More Newman Center and Sacred Heart Catholic Church provide facilities at both locations for a combined and comprehensive ministry experience. Office of Youth Ministry Intern 

The OYM is seeking two full-time paid interns for the Summer of 2014.  You must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church and have graduated high school by May 2013.  You can read the full job description here.

Co-Youth Minister - Part Time
Assumption Catholic Church in O’Fallon MO is currently seeking someone to fill the role of part time co-youth minister to work in collaboration with our current youth minister. The co-youth ministers will work together to coordinate and support the spiritual life of high school teens in the parish. Applicant must possess good relational skills, the ability to work with a team, and have a passion for ministering to teens. Full-Time Youth Minister in South St. Louis and County

  Position Description: 

A group of parishes in South St. Louis and South St. Louis County are looking a fulltime youth minister to help organize and develop a multi-parish high school youth program located at a nearby Catholic High School. The youth minister will be responsible for providing vision and oversight of a weekly Catechetical night that will meet on Thursday evenings at the local high school as well as to strongly encourage teens to return and be active members of their parishes on Sundays. Youth minister will be responsible for developing a core team and of providing clear communication to the many parishes who are sponsoring the program. In addition the youth minister will be asked to organize days of prayer, retreats, trips, etc. so that the youth of the area may grow in their faith.

Full Time: 40 Hours a week, includes full benefits.

Accountability: Youth minster will have be accountable to the pastors of the parish who sponsor the program with one of those pastors acting as his or her direct superior.

Additional Responsibilities: Youth minister will be expected to travel among sponsoring parishes in order to invite teens, recruit core members, and keep parishes informed of the progress of the youth program.

Cathechists at Epiphany

Epiphany of Our Lord Parish, a south St. Louis parish of about 800 families is looking for two qualified catechists to lead our new Blue Knights and Little Flower programs that will start in the Fall of 2013 and meet on the first and third Tuesday of the Month. Catechists must be willing to work closely with students and parents.

Epiphany of Our Lord Parish, a south St. Louis parish of about 800 families is looking for a qualified catechist to help us introduce teens to the Bible, Theology of the Body, and other Catholic teachings. Catechist will be expected to run a program three Tuesday nights a month (1st-3rd) during the school year.
