Coming January 23rd, over 1,800 Pro-Life 8th graders, High Schoolers, Young Adults, and Chaperones will be traveling to Washington D.C. to witness, pray, and march for LIFE and the end to abortion.  Even though the past 40 years of legalized abortion can bring sorrow and frustration, the Youth of this Generation brings Hope and Joy!  Since the Roe vs. Wade decision back in 1973, there has never been a more Pro-Life Generation amoung the youth than 2012. 

The fact is becoming increasingly clear in our own Archdiocese of St. Louis.  Over the years pilgrimages like Life Really Matters and the Way, Truth, and Life have grown in numbers every year.  In moving forward these two groups are not only joining together with increasing numbers, but have also added 8th graders and young adults into the pilgrimage.  In creating a new trip, we decided it was fitting to choose a name that represented this joint movement forward to change our world from a generation of death to a generation of life...hence GENERATION LIFE.

Through prayer and evaluating a number of professional designs, we also decided on a new logo.  We invite you to check out the three variations of the logo and the description of why we chose it:

The Generation Life Logo represents the Archdiocese of St. Louis’ annual pilgrimage to Washington D.C. to March for Life, as well as the Pro-Life movement of young people transforming this current and future generation.  The person with the flag represents how each of us are called to evangelize and lead this world to the truth of Christ with Faith, Hope, and Love.  The crowd reminds us that this movement requires all of us as the Body of Christ to combat the culture of death with the culture of life.  Two versions of the logo include a star, which represents Washington D.C., which is where we prayerfully march for the dignity of all human life from conception to natural death on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade.
