New Beginnings at the OYM

The Office of Youth Ministry (OYM) would like to announce that Rosanne Twellman, Coordinator of Events, will retire in September of 2013 after 15 years of service to the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

She started working for the Archdiocese in August of 1998. She was one of the main organizers for the youth rally with Pope John Paul II in January, 1999. From that, the OYM was created within the Archdiocese to serve the youth in the area. Rosanne has walked with the OYM from its infancy and has been pivotal in its growth. Among her many responsibilities, she has been the main coordinator for the Steubenville Conferences. The youth conference started in the summer of 1999 in Marquette’s gym with 1,086 teens and has grown each year with Rosanne at its helm. This year the conference will have close to 7,000 teens over two weekends. The conferences are held on the campus of Missouri State University in Springfield, MO.

Many youth leaders who work in ministry today can attest to Rosanne’s hard work and service throughout the years in helping them bring Jesus to teens. The members of the OYM are grateful for all her years of service and will greatly miss her as she embarks on a new journey with her family.

Rosanne and her husband Jim have two daughters, Katie and Melina. They live in Dardenne Prairie and are members of Immaculate Conception Parish.

The Office of Youth Ministry announces with great joy that Amy Eschelbach will join their team as the new Coordinator of Events! She will begin on April 15th, 2013 in order to prepare for the OYM summer events.

Amy is a graduate of Truman State University and went to Ursuline Academy high school.  Each summer from 2007-2011 she interned for the OYM and became an invaluable asset to the summer team.

Upon graduation from Truman she served with NET Ministries as a team leader, traveling across the country with other team members to provide retreat experiences for young people. Continuing to follow her heart for ministry she has been working in the Special School District for Rogers Middle School while also serving as the Youth Minister at Most Sacred Heart in Eureka, MO. She brings her ministry experience and servant heart to the OYM and Archdiocesan Curia.
